This cream takes a little time to rub in. However, it is totally non-greasy and doesn’t leave your skin oily or shiny. I’m now using this on a daily basis and my skin remains non-oily throughout the day. I’m now using this is my daily moisturiser as it leaves my skin far less greasy than just an ordinary

Really pleased with this. Have tried so many facial sun creams over the years that are always greasy - despite claiming not to be. This is really good. I don’t moisturise before and just put this on. Non greasy and no burning. Tested at Glastonbury festival in the boiling heat!
What a product. Great protection and doesn’t upset my sensitve and combination skin. Great value too!
Long story short: it pills and it’s oily.
It pills no matter what I do — on bare skin, over serum, over moisturiser, even over Altruist’s own face cream. I wait at least 15 minutes between skincare and sunscreen, but it still pills.
If you apply the recommended amount for proper protection, it pills even worse.
It’s not worth cleaning off the pilling either, because even after that, it’s still oily.
If you really want to try Altruist, go for the 200ml version for the body. Avoid this face version at all costs. I honestly can’t imagine who would buy it when there are so many better options from the UK, Europe, Korea, and Japan.
My first Altruist product was the SPF30 200ml body sunscreen. It’s a bit oily for my face but fine for my body — that’s why I gave this “oily skin” version a try. Sadly, it didn’t work out.
